Where to stay

Rayavadee

Address: 214 Ao Nang, อำเภอ เมือง Krabi 81000, Thailand

Phone: +66 2 301 1861

Rayavadee is on the edge of Krabi National Park, nestled in the beautiful lush jungle. We arrived by car and then took a 20 minute boat transfer to the resort. It has over 100-pavillion properties and 7 luxury villas. I stayed in a two-story deluxe pavillion, which had plenty of space to lounge and relax. I love Rayavadee’s sustainable tourism practices, regular beach clean ups, water waste management system, and focus on healthy and organic produce at their restaurants.

I loved all of the sustainable and thoughtful amenities wrapped in a beige linen pouch, tooth brush, razor, brush, and mosquito repellent. The jasmine bar soap smelled amazing!

After a long hike, taking a luxurious bath is the perfect way to unwind!

Where to Eat

The Grotto at Rayavadee

We experienced the most magical sunset dinner at The Grotto, located on the edge of Phranang Beach. This is a short buggy ride from my villa and located on the Rayavadee property. It’s the perfect spot to put on a cute floral maxi dress and grab a cocktail under the limestone cave. We had a lovely private dinner with our group and the most delicious appetizers, seafood, and lemon dessert!

RAYAVADEE Breakfast Menu

I loved breakfast at Rayavadee with their gourmet dim sum, noodles, fresh juices, and coffee drinks. Arrive early to watch the Langur monkeys play in the mangrove trees and other critters walking on by. After a long day you can choose from dining at The Grotto, Krua Phranang, or Raitaylay Terrace.

Hikes

On our second day, we decided to go on an afternoon hike to Railay Lagoon. It’s a 1.4km moderate to challenging hike that requires rock climbing. I highly recommend going on a dry day and hiring a guide from Railay Rock Climbing. They made the entire experience safe and offer intermediate to advanced group courses!

Where to Visit in KRABI

Phi Phi Island

We hired a private speedboat to the infamous Phi Phi Island and Maya Bay which is now open in 2022 (made famous by the 2001 movie “The Beach”! It’s been closed for several years to restore the ecosystem. You pay a small entrance fee to enter and it’s a short 5-10 walk to the beach. Although you can’t swim in the water, it was still an amazing experience walking along the white sand beach and admiring the limestone rocks. Afterwards, we had a chance to snorkel and see the beautiful coral and rainbow fish. Honestly a can’t miss experience while you’re in Krabi.

Bamboo Island

Bamboo Island has gorgeous scenery and crystal clear waters. It was one of my favorite more private white sand beaches. This is where we ended up stopping for a few hours to have lunch and swim. You can easily spend a half-day here playing on the make-shift swings, walking along the beach, or snorkeling! Learn more about pricing here.
