Hashiri Sushi :: Top San Francisco Restaurants

Sushi Hashiri is a brand new kaiseki style restaurant in the Mint Plaza. I had the pleasure of dining at a private media dinner before the official opening day, which is Friday, May 13.

The entire meal was an experience in itself. From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was transported to Japan. Above, you can watch a projected video of cherry blossoms blowing in the wind. I had the honor of sitting at the sushi bar and watching the talented chefs prepare each dish. The restaurant uses exquisite seasonal ingredients and fish flown from the Tsukiji Market (talk about quality). By the end of the night, my belly was full and craving for more! Each dish had a purpose and a beautiful story.

According to the SF Eater, dinner reservations (no walk-ins) are available for two seatings per night, Tuesday through Saturday at 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sushi Hashiri offers a premium price of $250 per person and upwards of $500 for a special omakase at the chef's private table. Although the dinner experience comes with a hefty price tag, I would highly recommend it for omakase enthusiasts!
